Quidam

Last night Lady VJ, her parents and I attended the Cirque du Soleil performance "Quidam" at Olympic park. I have only met her folks once, so we thought that heading out to an event would make for a comfortable evening and give us a chance to chat a bit and enjoy some time together. We hooked up for some Thai food and then zoomed over to Olympic Stadium. We had great seats and the mood in the big top was buzzing with anticipation. Some performers mingled through that audience as people filed in and pulled a few wacky tricks and gags on people, and probably chose the "marks" for later, as there were a couple of segments of the show where audience members were hauled up on stage to do some hilarious and embarrassing stunts.
The next couple of hours were a mix of high flying danger, superhuman feats and a cunning array of stunts. Most impressive to me were the Diabolo Girls. They pulled out several incredible maneuvers , flips, twirls and leaps while spinning and passing around wooden spools with a rope. Rather than read about me trying to awkwardly fumble out a description in words, just check them out:

A cunning array of stunts you say?

(I misread that the first time to be honest)
