Was that really a 180?

After yesterday afternoon taking about a week to get through, I made it over to Bless U to throw a few darts around as we locked horns with Eberhardt. A strange day indeed. Singles clipped along fairly evenly but we got tuned in doubles...ouch. An interesting side show of note though was a member of the opposing team hitting a 180...I don't want to mention any names, so let's call him "Hothead Greg". The 180 was remarkable, but what was more remarkable was that when he did it, his own team didn't react at all. They seemed to not care. After seeing him have a meltdown on TK over the score, and then having a meltdown on his doubles partner for not giving him the right leave to double out, it became clear though.

We were generally owly after the game and I headed home thinking (insert montage of good times here) that we are supposed to be enjoying ourselves and playing as a way to relieve stress, not get more stressed out. So, I have resolved to stay cool, have fun, enjoy the night, find the beauty in hitting a 5, crack some jokes, chill out and let the good times roll. In doing so, the asses will kick themselves.

Absolutely VJ. Let's appreciate a good throw, take it for what it is, even if it isn't one of ours, but let's give more support to our own even when we lose. Mondays are tough simply because they are Mondays, so let's give the start of each week a new twist of joy and pleasure. Let's keep darting and smiling. If we are not doing that, then what's the point.

Ditto on what John said. The session at Dolce picked me right back up.

Cripes...I should have joined you guys. You know, we always have a blast throwing over there.
We are squaring off against FFOD this week, so maybe we should make some plans to hook up afterwards with you lads to celebrate / drown our sorrows.
